The Seine River Basin, Springer, collection « Handbook of Environmental Chemistry », 2020.
On the occasion of its 30th anniversary, the PIREN-Seine published last year a major scientific book on the socio-eco-system of the Seine river basin.
Organized in 15 chapters, the book covers three decades of research and provides an in-depth understanding of the functioning of the Seine river territory and its inhabitants. From hydrology to fish populations, from organic micropollutants to nutrients, from basin-wide models to the Anthropocene evolution, hydrologists, biogeochemists, geographers, agronomists, ecologists and sociologists propose an interdisciplinary and integrative analysis of the Seine river basin and its long-time trajectories, highlighting a global and precise understanding of its ecological functioning. Faithful to its approach in disseminating scientific knowledge, the PIREN-Seine has made a point of publishing a fully open access book. You can download it for free directly from the Springer website (in PDF or EPUB).
The PIREN-Seine team wishes you an excellent reading.
